Notes from the Hammans: January 2010

Unfortunately, I am pretty far behind in my blogging. Kyle and I have been going, going, going since Thanksgiving. We have enjoyed many Christmas parties, a trip to San Francisco, a fabulous birthday party for one of our closest friends and a great New Years!

I am almost 7 months pregnant and feeling great. This trimester has been terrific and I am enjoying getting ready for our son to come. My first graders are so thrilled as my bump grows bigger. They love to hug "the baby" and always talks to him in class. Kyle has been getting excited too. He has already started "nesting" and has been organizing everything in the house (who is the pregnant one here!) He reads to the baby every night and was so excited to get many of his old books that his Mom kept when he was a baby :)

We went to San Francisco in December for our friend Alisa's birthday. We all flew in to surprise her. It was so much fun being together and seeing all the fun places around S.F. Can't wait to come back in August for their wedding!!!

We spent Christmas at my sister's new place. They just bought a condo so we all came together to celebrate at their house. We had a great time opening our stockings, decorating Christmas cookies and playing board games (our favorite family pastime!) It was a little strange knowing that this was our last Christmas before all the babies come. Next year Haley and I will have an 8 month old and a 4 month old in the mix.....so fun!! It was a great holiday and a great way to end 2009!

New Years was a lot of fun! We spent the evening with our friends hanging out and eating yummy food. On the 2nd, we got all dressed up and celebrated one of our best friend's birthday at her home in Orange County. Her husband Dusty did an outstanding job of planning a beautiful party filled with amazing food and even more amazing friends. We love you Kim and we are so blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you for including us in your special day!

We are so excited to begin the new year and are looking forward to all the new adventures that lay ahead. We hope 2010 brings your family many blessings!
