My first Mothers Day.

I could never have imagined how becoming a Mother would completely overflow my heart. Everyone tries to explain the joy you have for your children. But until you have your own child and finally see their angelic face for the first time, it is hard to explain the amount of love you have. As I celebrate my first Mothers Day with my beautiful Jackson, I am so thankful not only for the opportunity to be a Mother, but for my own amazing Mother who has taught me how to love and be loved. She sets the bar pretty high for Mothers and I can only pray that I can be the kind of Mother to my child as she is to me. Thank you Mom for being my teacher, counselor, healer, shopping partner, and best friend. I am so lucky to have such an incredible role model. I am also sooooo lucky to have the best mother-in-law who embraced me from the beginning and always treated me like a daughter. Thank you for raising a man of integrity, faith and love. You are the best "second" Mother any daughter could ask for. To all my friends who are Mothers, I hope you know how important you are and I hope yesterday was as special for you as it was for me. Being a Mother is the greatest joy of my life!
